Michael Zheng

Michael serves as the director/curator of this project space. He will be working directly with artists for projects most of the time. He will also invite aritsts and curators to put together shows for the space.

As an artist, his recent projects focus on social interaction and situational intervention that center around inter-personal relations. Michael has had fellowships from Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and The MacDowell Colony. He was nominated twice for the SECA Award of the SFMOMA, Bay Area Now 5 of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and was acknowledged by the Artadia Award. His works are shown internationally including in ICA/London, Vancouver Biennale, Portland Museum Biennial; and locally at Southern Exposure, Walter McBean Gallery and San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery.
