Making Out In SFMOMA

Intervention performance at SFMOMA, March 26, 11am - 5:45pm, 2011

I sent out a call for a female collaborator for a performance on Facebook. Several people responded. After I interviewed each of them, I chose Nicole McClure as my collaborator.

On the day of the performance, we made out continuously in the un-ticketed Atrium area from the time the Museum opened till the time it closed. Each visitor had to pass the performance at least twice. This is a critique of what constitutes an β€˜art’ piece in an art institution.

See the review in BayCitizen for a full account of the event. Article and image by Anna Pulley.
