Group Stand
Performance, SFMoMA, Nov. 19, 2010
There was a big opening of a new exhibition called "How wine became modern" at SFMoMA on November 19, 2010. On the same floor, there was also another exhibition on Voyeurism entitled "Exposed". I did an uninvited performance at the opening. As people gathered in small groups and talked away, I quietly positioned myself among each group. I stood quietly without any active engagement with the group, although I was obviously in their social space. I remained in that position until a member of the group acknowledged me, or when the group disbanded, upon which I moved onto the next group.
