To read the text on the paper, the viewer has to bend down and read through the gaps. The text reads:
“Chair made by artist Patrick Wilson based solely on the photograph of Kosuth’s Chair piece that I provided him.”
Of course, only the frontal view of the chair resembles the original, effecting a sort of a 3D trompe l’oeil of Kosuth’s Chair.
